When In Chicago Pt 1
Whether you've lived in Chicago your whole life, you're completely brand new here (like me), or you're just visiting, finding cool spots in this massive city can be a bit of a struggle. I want to share my journey in Chicago with you guys and that includes telling you all about my fave finds/spots. Spencer and I usually go exploring during the weekends, so far we have found some cool places but we still have a lot more exploring to do. So I'm making this a little series on my blog where I will be updating it every time I find something new.
Today, I'm going to share with you the first places I went to when we recently moved here. Hope you enjoy!
Millennium Park is where you will find a lot of cool architecture, music festivals, exhibitions, beautiful gardens, etc. Best part of it all is it is located right at the heart of the city. This is where most Chicagoans and visitors like to spend most of their time. It is completely BEAUTIFUL. If you've heard of 'The Bean' this is where you can find it. I 100% recommend this place if you're planning on making a trip to the windy city!
The Magnificent Mile
The Magnificent Mile is pretty much the Upper East Side of Chicago. No joke! This is where you will find upscale stores, restaurants, roof-top restaurants/bars, hotels...anyway you get the point haha. It is a VERY nice area! Just like Millennium Park, The Magnificent Mile is always packed. But you will have lots of fun, even if its just walking around and looking at the beautiful landmarks!
The Willis Tower, known as the Sears Tower is a 108-story skyscraper. On the 103 floor is the Sky Deck, with clear observation boxes and views that allow you to see over four different states. It is the highest observation deck in the U.S. HOW COOL IS THAT!? I tell you, it's even cooler when you are actually in one of those clear boxes. I've only gone once with my brother when he was visiting but I definitely plan on going again with my hubs this time!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having a fantastic day!
