Finding Your Passion

I had these flashbacks this morning in the shower of how all of my life people always came to me for advice or just to even vent and express themselves. Not to be cocky or anything but that is something I take a lot of pride in… being a very good listener and in always being there for others. I actually truly enjoy it so much!

I went to college and i thought that what i wanted was to be a dentist. I shadowed, i worked in the dentistry field, went to school for a few years, and then somewhere along the way i thought “but wait… i actually don’t see myself being happy by doing this.” I went through a period where i didn’t know what i wanted. I was trying to figure it all out, just like the rest of us.

Randomly one day i decided to just start a blog. I wanted my blog to be inspirational, i wanted it to be relatable, i didn’t want it to be completely like what other bloggers were doing. I started my journey (hence my blogs name is Sweetest Journey) without even knowing the road ahead. Fast forward 2.5 years later and here i am. Completely passionate on what i am doing on my blog and on my instagram platform.

While i have incorporated fashion and other topics into my blog and platform (because lets be real…who doesn’t like fashion?). I think God put me on this path because I truly find so much joy in talking to people and hearing their stories. I love human connection. But not just in like small talk. I am driven by deep human connection. I love deep conversations. I love getting to know people. It hasn’t always been easy for me to express my feelings so publicly and open, but i am learning that by doing so, i am not only connecting with so many amazing humans, but also giving others hope and give them a sense of relief that they are never alone, no matter their story.

My point with all of this is that by pursuing your passions, even on the smallest degree, you are allowing yourself to go deeper into something new. Into finding your true self. You give yourself up to something that is bigger than yourself. So girl (or boys haha), find those passions that drive you and never give up! You will be surprised with how much closer you are to finding yourself and your purpose on earth.
