The Big Move!

The Big Move!

Hey all! It's been a while since I've actually sat down and wrote something on my blog. We've been so busy with this move I didn't have time for anything else.

You have probably been wondering why the sudden move? Why leave San Diego for Chicago? (We've been getting that question a lot, haha). Well truth is, Spencer had been looking for a job for several months and had done many interviews with several different companies. But not one seemed to be the perfect fit. There was one company that offered him a job in Miami, but Spencer felt a little uneasy about that one. There was another company in Las Vegas, which Spencer actually did like. The only problem was that they were taking FOREVER with the whole process. So we just kept waiting for the right opportunity.

Early last week he received a call and a company in Chicago was interested in interviewing him. I remember it was a really intense one. Four different men interviewed him back to back (this was all done by Skype since it was long distance). After he was done, he was so stoked. He was feeling very confident. And so we went on about our day. He receives a call later on that same day with an offer. Like whaaaaat! That same day!?! We were shocked! He was sooo excited and naturally I was so excited as well. When he first found out about this job opportunity he was hooked! It was everything he wanted and had been waiting for. We talked about it a little more when he got home, but of course it didn't take much for me to say "LET'S MOVE TO CHICAGO!"

He accepted the the job. We started packing while still looking for a place. We found 2 places we really liked and we quickly got accepted to one of those places, so we were set! We did everything in 4 days. Accepting the job, packing, finding a place. 4 days people!!! HOW CRAZY IS THAT!!!

If you know anything about Spencer and I, you know we are very spontaneous. We were both so down to just pack our stuff and go on this new adventure. So I don't think "normal" people would do it like we did haha. I was of course very sad to leave San Diego. I had grown to love it. And a lot of memories were made there. But I knew bigger and better things were going to happen for us.

There is still a TON of exploring to do around here but we are so happy with our move. We love our new little home, buster loves it as well and we are just SO blessed that everything worked out perfectly. I wouldn't change a thing about our move and there is nothing more that I love than getting to do this wonderful, crazy life with my person.

Which by the way today is his first day of work!!! Woohoo!!!
I already can't wait to hear all about it when he gets home. He makes me so proud. :')

Thank you to all the people that have reached out and congratulated us & gave us their blessing. You guys rule!

Until next time, lovelies! <3

Here are some pics of our first couple of days in Chicago!
