Park City- Getaway Guide

Hello my cuties!

At the beginning of March of this year I got to take a trip with some influencer gal pals @lexandthecity___, @collectivelykylie, @bowtifullife and the @visitparkcity team to experience all Park City, Utah has to offer. I had been to Utah a few times before but never to Park City and man oh man is it magical!!!

In this post, you’ll find everything you need to know about what to do, where to eat, where to ski, and all of the best Park City, Utah spots. You might be surprised at how long the skiing and snowboarding season in Park City lasts! You’ll find plenty of snow on the ground from November through the first few weeks of April.

First Day

When we landed we decided to hit up Main St. and have lunch at Provisions! It’s this really cute café, deli and market all in one. It was such a cute, cozy place to lunch at with the @visitparkcity team and our photographers. I got myself a burger and a soda and it was just what I needed after the flight. After chatting a for a bit we took a little stroll around Main St. There are so many cute spots to eat and chill as well as do some shopping. Not to mention gorgeous views made for the perfect photo opps. @carlaboecklin our photographer for the trip took some stunning photos of us!

We went back to our hotel to unpack and relax a little before dinner. We were staying at Peaks Hotel and it had a very cozy vibe to it with really pretty views! We had dinner at the hotels restaurant Versante Hearth + Bar. We all got a few things to share and man was it a great way to end the first day at Park City!

Second day

We got ready and we all met for brunch. BUT FIRST we stopped at the iconic Mcpolin Barn. What a beautiful spot! Apparently a lot of photographers like to shoot at this location both in the cooler and warmer days because of how beautiful it is! We definitely took advantage of the spot and had our own little photoshoots hehe. This barn has a lot of history to it- I took a picture of the plaque that explains it all!

Brunch at the Waldorf Astoria Park City’s- Powder Restaurant (yasss!) This place is one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been to. Like if I could live here I would haha. Waldorf Astoria Park City is among the peaks of the Wasatch Mountains and the only luxury hotel with slope side access to Park City Mountain. Making it the largest ski resort in the United States. So as you can imagine the views while we ate were phenomenal! I ordered myself a latte and an avocado toast because you can never go wrong with avocado toast.

Following our exquisite brunch experience was skiing at Park City. Mountain. Did I mention this is the largest ski resort in the U.S? I feel so grateful I got to experience skiing there! First things first- we rented some skiing gear from Aloha Ski & Snowboard. Everyone there was so nice and helpful! Now here is a little backstory of my history with skiing. First time I ever skied had been about 7 yrs prior and it was not a pleasant experience to say the least. I don’t know why I never got myself an instructor. I guess I assumed skiing was easy? I don’t know. Anyway, I didn’t have any idea what I was doing and at one point I fell and thought my knees were literally going to snap in half. So if you’ve never been skiing before please get an instructor to help you out haha. This time around my experience was night and day. We all got instructors and they were the nicest and most patient people. They made us feel very safe but also pushed us to keep trying until we got the hang of it. I had so much fun skiing and definitely want to go back as soon as it’s possible!

Dinner this day was at Yuta. It is in a really beautiful spot. Its up in a mountain. You know how I’m all about aesthetics? Well let me tell ya, this place was definitely my aesthetic vibe! The menu at Yuta draws inspiration from a deep reverence for the land and the many cultures that have passed through this lush mountain region. As someone with a culture of her own (I’m Colombian) and who enjoys learning and celebrating other cultures I really enjoyed this concept. I ordered myself a yummy cocktail and a dry-aged wasatch beef ribeye as an entree. WOWZA was it gooooood!

Third Day

Started of the day with Park City Yoga Adventures. We went on a snowshoeing hike up a mountain and boy was it beautiful and hard. I didn’t realize how badly I needed to work on my cardio until this hike haha. We stopped to take a break at one point and the instructor handed us some mugs with warm tea and that was like the best hiking experience I’ve ever been on! There’s something about nature that just really excites me. After our hike we went into the cave and did some paddleboard yoga. This was yet another thing to check off my bucket list. A great workout but at the same time super relaxing. Our paddleboards were attached to a rope but they were in the middle of the cave. I remember having my eyes closed at one point only being able to hear water trickling down the sides of the cave walls and into the pool and some peaceful music and I felt so grateful at that moment to be able to experience this. Paddleboard yoga is no joke yall. I fell in the water quite a few times but I didn’t even mind it considering the water was so warm and relaxing!

here we are drinking our warm tea!

a selfie of me after- feeling super relaxed hehe

For lunch we headed to RIME at St. Regis Deer Valley. Yet another beautiful place with yummy food! They have a seasonally inspired menu built on sustainability caught seafood and locally sourced meats arriving fresh every morning. I got a cocktail and this delicious and filling pasta. During our meal we could see people skiing on the slopes and I would think of how much Spencer would loved it here. He loves great food and being able to experience new and exciting things. We are definitely coming back here together sometime soon! 🤍

seriously the views were astronomical!!!

For drinks and a dreamy horse sleigh ride we went over to Stein Eriksen Lodge. I was in awe with how many things this lodge has to offer! From Sleigh riding, ice skating, downhill skiing, snow tubing, snowmobiling, weddings, and more. If you are looking for a getaway with lots of memorable activities this is the place to stay and checkout! I also loved seeing families doing all these fun activities together. Definitely making a trip here when I have a little family of my own hehe. The horse sleigh ride was for 30 mins and we got to pet these sweet babies & take pics with them. As you can see in the pics I was so happy! I’m such an animal lover & fun fact: horses are my second favorite animal. What a beautiful place this is! 😍

For dinner we went to Windy Ridge Cafe. A very cute and cozy spot for a chill dinner. I ordered myself some fries and it came with a yummy pink sauce. I need to get myself the recipe for that sauce because DANG it was good haha.

Last Day

Our last day arrived in a blink of an eye. Before heading home we stopped by Washington School House Hotel for a fun tour and some breakfast! I got myself a latte (duh!) and some banana pancakes (which to this day I still crave haha). The Washington School House is an iconic historic landmark and after the completion of a total interior renovation, the fabulously preserved 1889 limestone gem reopened as an international industry darling. The renovations that were made were so so gorgeous! You can tell they definitely payed attention to the details. It was so quiet when we went. It seemed like a very calming and relaxing spot for a getaway.

After spending 4 days experiencing some of the amazing things Park City has to offer I am convinced it is one of my favorite places I’ve ever been to. I’ve heard its just as amazing during the Summer time so it looks like another excuse to take a trip. ;)

With everything going on in the world right now, I wanted to write this blog post to give you some inspiration and let you day dream of your next trip. I know I’m constantly looking for beautiful places to go to next and I couldn’t recommend Park City, Utah more. My heart is so grateful to have been able to experience all that I did on this trip with some amazing people and also to the amazing @visitparkcity team that made this all possible. It was definitely a getaway to remember! 🤍
